Oral & Maxillofacial Implantology

DENTAL IMPLANT: any object or material, such as an alloplastic substance or other tissue, which is partially or completely inserted or grafted into the body for therapeutic, diagnostic, prosthetic, or experimental purposes.

Dental implantology is a branch of dentistry that deals with the diagnosis, treatment planning, placement, and restoration of dental implants. It involves surgically inserting artificial tooth roots (implants) into the jaw bone to support prosthetic teeth, restoring oral function and aesthetics for patients with missing or damaged teeth.

These implants act as artificial roots, providing a strong foundation for crowns, bridges, or dentures.

Some benefits of dental implants include:

  • Improved chewing and speaking abilities
  • Enhanced aesthetic appeal
  • Boosted confidence
  • Preservation of jawbone density
  • Long-term durability

DEPARTMENT OF ORAL AND MAXILLOFACIAL IMPLANTOLOGY

Dental implantology has reached the pinnacle in dentistry due to the recent advances in diagnostic imaging treatment planning, surgical techniques and materials. This has lead engendered to better predictability which in turn has lead to implants becoming an integral part in restorative dentistry.

With this mind of the program has been designed to teach concepts of basic and advanced implantology to beginners and private practitioners alike.

The program will include interactive lectures from renowned implantologists as well as hands on experience on models and patients to hone the participants surgical and prosthetic skills.

  • 6 Months program [4monthsbasic+2monthsadvanced]
  • Comprehensive lectures and Live surgical procedures
  • Each participant will avail 3 implants and will place them in live surgeries and rehabilitate the same at a later date
  • Fellowship Certificate will be given from Dept.of Oral& Maxillofacial Implantology during the Convocation.
