Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for admission into the BDS course, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:
- Nationality & Residency
- Must be an Indian National or a Person of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholder.
- Must satisfy local/non-local residency status in Andhra Pradesh as per the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order, 1974.
- Educational Qualification
- Should have passed Intermediate (10+2 pattern) or equivalent with the following subjects:
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Biology (Botany, Zoology) / Biotechnology
- English
- Minimum aggregate marks required in PCB subjects:
- 50% for General candidates
- 45% for OC/PH candidates
- 40% for SC/ST/BC candidates
- Should have passed Intermediate (10+2 pattern) or equivalent with the following subjects:
- Entrance Exam
- Must have qualified the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG) conducted by NTA (earlier CBSE), as per Section 10 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
Selection Procedure
- Admission is strictly based on NEET-UG merit followed by counselling conducted byDr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), Vijayawada.
- The selection is carried out in accordance with the Government Orders (G.O.s) issued by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
- Candidates must attend certificate verification as per the schedule notified by the University.
