Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics

Conservative Dentistry is the branch of dentistry which is concerned with the treatment of defects of teeth like dental decay, tooth trauma etc and restore them to physiological form to enhance the aesthetic and function of teeth.  The restorations performed in conservative dentistry include direct restoration like silver amalgam and direct composite resin; indirect restorations like ceramics and indirect composite resin.

Endodontics branch is mainly concerned with preservation of teeth by performing root canal treatment.  Aesthetic dentistry deals with treatment aimed at enhancing the aesthetic appearance of teeth by performing smile design and restoring with either composite resin or indirect ceramic restorations.

The department caters to under-graduates with 100 intake and post graduates with 6 intakes. It is well equipped with 34 dental chairs for under-graduates and 22 dental chairs for post-graduates and faculty. A separate pre-clinical phantom head lab is available for training under- graduate and post graduate students.
